Feeling lighter and moving around !!!

Last training session at Movement.

I still remember, when i was little, I would get super attached to things and places.  Any vacation place would become so emotionally attached to my being, that when it was time to depart, I would struggle.
Even the first time I left home for 5 months to work abroad, I almost came back two weeks later, but after some more weeks, everything was fine, and towards the end of the season, I had a hard time leaving my new home !!

With La Peti, last year in Spain.

on the road to Bariloche, Argentina.

Now, ten years later from that first long trip, moving in between time zones has become a routine for me.  I rarely spend more than 6 months in a single place.  After 2 or 3 months, I start to feel a little itching and it´s kind of time to move on.

In Bariloche with Lunita !!!!

Caro in Bariloche, with Luna !!!

Hut Trip, Aspen, CO.

In all this years, I learned to get less attached to places and things.  I guess, when you are on the road (or a plane) so much, you get used to say good bye and you understand that having less things makes your life easier.

Most international flights only allow a 23kg bag for free, so that has become my standard measure of things I can afford to have, including my climbing gear, which ussually takes up half the weight and size of the backpack.  We have learned to travel light and by traveling light, we have also realized that those things that we travel with, is all we need in our life.

Flying to KOS !!!

The Island of Kos, from the sky.

In the last couple of days, we´ve been moving again.  Flight to NY, then to Frankfurt and finally to Kos.  With a 9 hour difference between our origin and destination, it took us almost two days to start feeling better, rested and jetlag free. Now we are feeling strong again !!!

Grande Grotta from the distance.

We had two good climbing days and a nice rest day on the beach. This helped us get more adjusted with the new time zone and our bodys now feel better.
Today was climbing day again.  Caro sent another nice 7c / 12d, pretty fast (only 3 tries), and I was able to send another 8a / 13b on the 4th an least expected try of the day !!!
Kalymnos is great. Climb all morning, hang out on the beach every afternoon and a nice swim on the still pretty chilly sea, but helps recovering.
We´ll keep you posted on our climbing and travelling !! Thanks for checking.
