World Cup

Observation time.
Last week I had the chance to participate in the World Cup event that took place in Boulder, Colorado. It certainly was a great experience and learned a lot, not only during the actual event, but also during the training process.
The event itself, was pretty amazing.  It put together athletes from 12 countries, over 1500 tickets were sold to general public that gathered to cheer and motivate the climbers, and over 20.000 people log on internet live transmission.

The 2 qualifier routes were super bouldery, on a very short wall and certainly the nerves and lack of experience at this level, played a very important role on my performance. In numbers i got the 32nd position.   It was an amazing experience and i guess that being exposed to this situations, more often, will, for sure, bring better results.
It felt nice to carry the Argentina flag down pearl street during the open ceremony. I think is great for our country to be participating in this events.

Parade.

26 athletes moved toward semis and then the best 8 took part on the final round.  Jakob Shubert and Johana Ernst were the best climbers along the competition.
In resume, great event, amazing organization, pretty bouldery routes and lots of public.
On a last personal note, participating on this event required a great personal effort, not only on the economic side, but in many other aspects.  Added to that effort i need to mention the unconditional support i had, through out the process, from Carolina Fritz and Juan Martin Miranda.  Long training sessions, belaying me time after time, being there and going through the ups and downs !!!  It is impossible to go through all this completely alone, and I owe them so much !! Thanks !
See you all soon.
